Clothing and Personal Items
Put children in durable shoes. So many children come to school in Flip flops and it’s very hard for the children to keep them on, plus they trip outside and get hurt. Sneakers are the best. Unless it’s your child’s show and share day please keep ALL toys at home. Toys from home can be very disruptive to the classroom.
Food Drive
The week of July 2nd we are having a center wide food drive. All donations will go to THE KITCHEN, INC. who help homeless families with housing, medical, counseling, food & clothing. Suggestions: Canned fruit, vegetables, dry pasta, baby food, and rice.

INFANT ROOM
In our infant class, we keep a low 1 to 4 ratio, meaning at no time will one teacher be caring for more than 4 infants. This allows for ample one-on-one time with multi-sensory stimulation and affection for each child in the classroom. This also prevents a child’s over-stimulation and allows the teacher to appropriately monitor each child’s individual schedule.
Diapering
Each child is checked/changed every two hours. If a teacher detects a soiled diaper, she will change that diaper immediately to avoid diaper rash. The teacher may also apply diaper cream as needed if the parent provides it.
Feeding
Our formula, Member’s Mark, and cereal and baby food are all provided FREE of charge to infants at our center. Once your child is ready for table food, we provide that as well. Our infants are fed according to their personal schedule so they keep the same feeding schedule they are accustomed to at home. Our center is equipped with both a classroom refrigerator/freezer to keep breast milk cool as well as a bottle warmer to safely heat bottles.
Cleanliness
Our infant classroom is a shoeless environment to preserve cleanliness. Shoes worn outside are exposed to contaminate so shoes are removed to keep babies skin and mouths clear of these contaminants. Diapering surfaces, high chairs, bibs, and toys are sanitized and cleaned everyday and after use.
Please bring the following:
· Bottles for every feeding (must bring one sanitized bottle for each feeding a day)
· Diapers and Wipes
· Ointment (if needed)
· Blanket
· Extra change of clothes
· Pacifiers (OPTIONAL)
Crib sheets, formula, baby food, table food, and sippy cups are all provided free of charge from the center.
TODDLER ROOM

The teacher may also apply diaper crème as needed if the parent provides it. In this classroom, we encourage potty training by allowing children to sit on the potty and give them praise and rewards when it is appropriate. While every child is ready for this at different stages, we match what the parent’s do at home.
